FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What kinds of events can you provide music for?
A: Weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, private parties, festivals, conferences, faith-based events, tailgates, public events, concerts, restaurants, and yes... even funerals! I have options to fit whatever tone/vibe you need: elegant background music; high-energy dancing; and everything between. See "PRICING" below.
Q: Can you dress the part?
A: Yep! Suit and tie, or jeans and tee - I can dress however needed for the tone/vibe of your event: cocktail hour; tuxedo wedding; corporate event; moody rock star; Grateful Dead cover show... whatever you need!
Q: Always solo, or do you have a band?
A: Both! I mostly perform solo, AND I can gather my bandmates for bass and percussion - all based on YOUR needs for your event.
Q: Requests? Can I customize a songs list?
A: YES! I provide a massive repertoire list (800+ songs) for all ages, genres, and styles, and you can pre-select your favorites and a desired song order. I can also be your "human jukebox & mix tape" at your event by bringing my songs-list booklets (800+ songs) and request slips for guests to submit their song choices and even dedicate to song to someone.
Q: Will you learn special songs for my event/wedding?
A: YES! With advance notice, I can learn/prepare 3-or-4 special requests for your first dance, processional/recessional, parent dance, and/or for your event's special moments.
Q: How long do you perform? Do you take breaks?
A: I tailor set lengths to your event. For parties and restaurants, I typically play 3 hours with one short break at the half-way point. At weddings or corporate events, I follow your schedule closely, and if a break is needed, I can play a Spotify playlist through my PA system to keep your preferred vibe going.
Q: Do you travel?
A: Yes. I'm based in western Virginia, but I regularly travel throughout Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. I'm available to travel if needed, and my/our travel mileage is included in your booking fee.

Q: Do you provide sound equipment?
A: Yes, I/we bring all the sound gear needed, unless the venue provides it and prefers I/we use their gear. I take care of setup and soundcheck in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly, and I always have a backup system.

Q: Can I hear you perform before booking?

Q: Cancellation policy? Liability insurance?
A: I require a deposit to hold your wedding date and/or your event to which I must travel. Cancellations made after a specific date may result in forfeiture of the deposit. All details are in my Performance Contract.
Although it’s not often required, I have event-specific liability insurance through my provider. I can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) if your venue asks for one.
